The guided mountain hikes take place across the Lake District and are highly flexible in order to meet your requirements. Perhaps you already have a mountain or area in mind, but if not, I can create a route to provide you a fulfilling day out.

Full details of the day will be provided once the booking has been confirmed. Below is an example plan for the day, although the timings and technical activities may vary depending on weather conditions and the group/individual requirements.

9 am:
Meet at the car park for a welcome and introduction. This will be a good opportunity to check kit and discuss the plans for the day.

9:30 am:
After introductions and briefings are complete, we will hike during the morning. There will be plenty of opportunity to stop for breaks and rest. Depending on the area, there will often be opportunities to explore the local ecology or geology along the way. If you would like some guidance on navigation or other mountain skills such as walking techniques or mountain weather, we can incorporate this into the walk.

12:30 pm:
We will usually aim to have lunch around 12:30 or 1 pm and there will be opportunity to chat or ask questions.

1:30 pm:
The afternoon will usually involve hiking down the mountain in the direction of the car park. There will usually be plenty of time to stop at interesting places and for providing further guidance if desired.

5 pm:
We will usually aim to be back at the car park and finish around 5 pm.

Please come dressed and prepared for a day of hiking. It is important that you wear good reliable walking boots (ideally waterproof) and walking socks. Mountain weather is highly changable and it is vital that you bring warm clothing and waterproofs. Wearing walking trousers or leggings is highly recommended to prevent tick bites, which can lead to contracting Lyme disease. Please bring lunch as well as plenty of water and snacks to provide sufficient energy for a day in the mountains. A detailed kit list is provided below.
